Flutterby Flutterby

Todays design is Flutterby.

I am so pleased with this quilt. It is made of 2 1/2 inch strips and fussy cut diamond shaped centers. The strips surround the block in log cabin style creating an even bigger diamond shape.  The fabric is designed by Tula Pink...loooove the name and love this buggy fabric! I plan on going to The Quilting Loft in Ballard to put all the patches on a design wall. I need to see it all together.

I must angst over patch placement.

The studio on the boat is a wonderful place to sew but limited on space to put up a big quilt for viewing before sewing. The owner of The Quilting Loft encourages customers to use the clasrroom for projects.  This is great for me as the design wall is big and then...

there is ALL that fabric waiting patiently just outside the classroom for perusal and purchase!

I am trying to take pics of some of my blocks to include here but alas, it is not to be this late at night. Perhaps tomorrow....

Hey C,
I like your new blog. Good quilt, I can hardly wait to see it in person.
